How to Write a Travel Diary

Ten Advices and Thoughts to Write a Special Travel Diary:

If you are one of those who don’t record, “diaries” may sound an unfamiliar word for you. Diaries is the place that holds memories and details that you will need to remember later, like the things you have done and where you’ve done it. At the end of the journey, it will be really amazing to have travel diaries that represent your last trips .

The following are advices and ideas that will help you to write special travel diaries:

•Use Smart Phone Apps to Write your Diaries while Traveling.
One of the diaries applications is “Day one“ and it’s a diary for devices that work with IOS.  “IFTTT” website with which you can share some of your daily activates automatically on social media at the same time. Let me explain it :
With “ Day one” application you can :
-Write whatever notes you want where there are special bold and diagonal fronts.
-Upload photos and videos to your diaries and add your thoughts and feelings inside the script.
-Locate the place and the weather when you wrote a diary.
-View your trip and check your time line or use a map or a calendar.
-You can connect “IFTTT” website by your private -use in ”Day one” application to make the diary better . but what is IFTTT?
IFTTT.COM creates a connection between your activates that you are doing now and those you have done before when connecting to the internet.
For example, if you add a picture on Instagram then add below it a hashtag picture, it will post the same picture on twitter as the original one, like you just post it in twitter application itself, and that’s because the feature you used on IFTTT website .

How will this website be useful for “Day one” diary ?
There are  a lot of features I found in “IFTTT” website and they’re practical for “Day one” diary
When you use some of the website features you can add :
* Your done work list by using “Todolist” application.
* Liked tweets.
* Instagram photos.
* Daily summary of “Fitbut” application.
* Photos that have been taken by android devices.

Bottom line,  is to combine you daily routine in a special and easy to use diary.

• A diary or a Book?

Your choice of using a diary or a book to write your travel memories depends on your desire to share it with other people . If you travel with your laptop or your tablet as I do, the diary will be the  better choice, you can create free blog through many websites such as ”travelpod” and wordppress.com, which is more complex than the first.
But, if you prefer having a traditional diary, choose one that is sturdy so it does not wear out easily . You can use one of “Moleskin” classic collections or a funny design such as  I WAS HERE diary. For me, I like to use pens and notebooks so I can make sure that the information won’t get lost like it would be in any technical way. Also, the paper diary will be great on your book shelf.

•Record your Itinerary

Define your itinerary in the very first pages of your diary, you can do this before you start your trip but don’t forget to leave some spaces between lines so that you can record the changes of your journey through your traveling and your movements from one place to another.

•The Introducing shouldn’t Always be Great

But, you have to write a diary of each day, because writing everyday even small details will keep you enthusiastic to complete your trip, if you don’t write anything for a couple of days, your enthusiasm will be gone and your desire to writing will decrease and so on, so make sure to write every day during  the trip even if it was a silly thing .

•What Made Me Smile?

When you have time to remember what you did during the day from the places you have visited or people you have met or special food you have eaten or the smells you liked or the things you learned, write it down, write everything that made you smile under a headline “ What Made Me Smile Today ?”

•Look for a Private Feature to Start your Diary with.

One of the things that made you smile, is there any private trait you can start your blog with? in other words, start asking; what I have learned? how I changed? What surprised me? put one of these statements at the beginning of the line, and it will be the begin of a special blog.

•Extend at the Introduction

When you complete your short introduction that you started the blog with, extend it by explaining what you have learned or an experience that you’ve been through, then enhance it with more details like describing your feelings at that moment and what you were thinking before and after your experience for example, why you changed your way of thinking and what that thing added to you.

•Write the Details

When you are home, share your travel stores, or maybe after years when someone asks you about your travel recommendations, you will definitely need to remember the details of that day. Write the details in points: where you’ve stayed, the names of the great bookshops, and from where you bought that delicious coffee. Write the details that you think it will be important and not ordinary

•Be Creative in Writing your Diaries

Don’t hesitate to draw what you see, keep a gum with you so you can paste theater tickets or postcard or part of Brochures to make your papers fun and lovely.

•Finish your Diary with gratefulness

You spent your day discovering a place that’s not your house. We understand the world much more when we compare things with each other. So, make a comparison between what you have experienced and where you already live in, and what things you’re grateful to have in your life.
